Cordoba GK Studio Negra Flamenco Acoustic Guitar

Built for gigging musicians who refuse to leave their tone at the door, the Cordoba GK Studio Negra packs a solid European spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and a Fishman Presys Blend pickup into a sleek, stage-ready package. Whether you're playing a packed venue or a quiet café set, the GK Studio Negra brings a rich, complex sound that commands attention without demanding a roadie.

Cordoba GK Studio Negra A Body Built for the Stage

A Body Built for the Stage

Traditional flamenco guitars are gorgeous — but hauling a full-depth Spanish guitar through a crowded green room is nobody's idea of a good time. The GK Studio Negra solves that with a slightly thinner body depth that keeps things comfortable without cutting corners on tone. The soft cutaway opens up access to the upper frets, so your solos land exactly where you intend them to.

    • Solid European Spruce Top: Responsive and resonant, the spruce top opens up beautifully with play time, rewarding you with richer tone the more you use it.
    • Indian Rosewood Back & Sides: Warm, full-bodied, and complex — rosewood brings a depth of sound that pairs naturally with the focused clarity of spruce.
    • Soft Cutaway Design: Upper-fret access without the uncomfortable reach. Your high notes finally have a highway.

A Neck That Plays Like a Dream

The GK Studio Negra's neck is engineered for speed, comfort, and low fatigue — because nothing kills the vibe of a long gig like a guitar that fights back. With a slimmer nut width and neck profile than a traditional Spanish guitar, this instrument feels fast and familiar under the fingers. The neck relief is dialed to near zero, delivering the low action that flamenco players demand without any buzzing compromise.

    • Low Action Setup: Quick, responsive playability straight out of the box, with none of the finger fatigue that comes with higher action.
    • Slimmer Nut Width & Neck Profile: A more comfortable grip that suits modern playing styles while staying true to the flamenco tradition.
    • Two-Way Truss Rod: Adjustability built right in — because humidity happens, seasons change, and your guitar should keep up.

Cordoba GK Studio Negra Tone, Strings, and Stage-Ready Electronics

    Tone, Strings, and Stage-Ready Electronics

The "Negra" designation tells you something important: this guitar leans toward a deeper, bassier, and more robust tone than its blanca counterparts. Equipped with premium Savarez Cristal Corum strings and a Fishman Presys Blend pickup system, it's ready to deliver professional-grade tone from the first strum to the last song of the set.

    • Bassier "Negra" Tonal Character: Fuller and more complex than bright blanca models, with a warmth that sits beautifully in a live mix.
    • Fishman Presys Blend Pickup: A hybrid system combining undersaddle and microphone signals for a natural, nuanced amplified tone.
    • Built-In Tuner: On-board tuning right from the preamp panel. No excuses for being out of tune between songs.
    • Clear Golpeadores (Tap Plates): Protects the top from percussive flamenco techniques without altering the guitar's appearance or acoustic response.

    The GK Studio Negra Delivers

The Cordoba GK Studio Negra is one of those rare guitars that bridges the gap between tradition and practicality without apologizing for either. It's a purpose-built gigging flamenco guitar with the tonal richness, playability, and electronics to hold its own on any stage. From intimate flamenco sets to experimental nylon-string explorations, this guitar meets you where you are — and usually sounds better than you expect.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Think of it like coffee: a blanca is your bright, punchy espresso shot, while a negra is a rich, smooth flat white. The negra uses rosewood or similar dark tonewoods for the back and sides, giving it a fuller, warmer, bassier tone. The GK Studio Negra leans hard into that richness — perfect for players who want more depth and warmth in their sound.

Beginners are more than welcome to pick it up, and they'll love it. But honestly, this guitar is like a sports car: you can drive it at 40mph, but it really comes alive when you know how to open it up. It's designed with intermediate to advanced players in mind, and the more technique you bring to it, the more it gives back.

Yes, and a good one at that. It comes factory-fitted with a Fishman Presys Blend system: an undersaddle pickup paired with an internal microphone. Translation: it's stage-ready straight out of the box. No extra gear, no fuss, no excuses.

It arrives strung with premium Savarez Cristal Corum nylon strings: a professional-grade choice that serious players swear by. No need to restring before your first session. Just tune up and play.

For Flamenco-style guitarists and nylon-string enthusiasts, yes. Solid tonewoods, a Fishman pickup, and professional-level playability at this price point is genuinely hard to argue with. It punches well above its weight and gives pricier guitars a run for their money.
