The Dreadbox Typhon is a monophonic portable and affordable desktop Analog Synthesizer complete with complex modulation routing, a 32 note sequencer, and powerful stereo effects. The classic Dreadbox analog sound from previous synthesizers like Erebus, Nyx, and Abyss is now available in a compact form factor with USB power.

    The Design
Proudly designed in Athens, Greece, Typhon boasts 2 Analog VCOs, Analog VCAs, and an Analog 24dB Low pass Filter. All analog components feature dedicated direct controls on the front panel.

Use the sliders, buttons, and encoder on the right side of the front panel to control Amp and Filter envelopes, the sequencer, the modulators, and the stereo effects to carefully craft (and save) your sounds! Typhon stores up to 254 presets. Save, Store, Rename, Download, and Exchange Presets with the free Dreadbox Software Editor!

    The Modulators
Typhon features 3 independent modulators that can be routed to 13 different destinations. Control the pitch, filters, waveform, envelopes, amps, and effects, and unleash thousands of combinations to alter and shape your sound through modulation. Each modulator can use LFO’s, Envelopes, Random generators, or the sequencer as a source!

    The Effects
Typhon is equipped with a set of powerful DSP effects programmed by Sinevibes. The DSP engine runs at a 32 bit 96kHz for high quality stereo effects. Choose between 3 FX on each preset to precisely dial in the tone and vibe of your patch.

FX1 is dedicated to distortion algorithms. Choose between 6 different algorithms for Distortion, Bitcrushing, and FM sounds. FX2 is dedicated to Chorus, Ensemble, and Flanging effects. FX3 is dedicated to lush sounding Reverb and 2 Delay types.

    The Sequencer
Typhon features an on-board 32 note sequencer that can be used to sequence notes in the traditional way or used as a modulation source.
