Rooted in over a decade of thoughtful design, The California Deluxe Series is built to go wherever the music leads you. The California Deluxe Kingman Bass CE raises the standard with refined construction and sound that rises to any occasion.
Whether you’re writing at home or performing on stage, the California Deluxe Kingman Bass CE is built to keep up. Its acoustic bass body produces deep, naturally resonant low end with surprising clarity and articulation – while the sculpted cutaway keeps the upper register fully accessible for melodic runs and expressive playing. The solid Mahogany top and laminate Mahogany back and sides – reinforced by scalloped X-bracing – produce an earthy tone that is full in the mids, smooth in the highs and perfectly punchy. Additional features include: open-gear tuning keys hold your tuning through the longest sets, a Micarta nut and saddle maximize tonal transfer string to string, and phosphor bronze strings offer rich, full-bodied tone from the first note. Plug in with confidence with the onboard Fishman CD-1 preamp system with onboard tuner for stage-ready amplification.
Versatile. Refined. Ready for anything. That’s the California Deluxe Series!
California Deluxe Kingman Bass CE Features:
SOLID MAHOGANY TOP WITH LAMINATE MAHOGANY BACK AND SIDES
A solid Mahogany top delivers rich, warm tones with a natural mid-range focus that brings out the full character of every note, while laminate Mahogany back and sides deepen the harmonic complexity and add a smooth, woody resonance that ties the sound together seamlessly. The result is an intimate, soulful voice that feels just as natural fingerpicking quietly at home as it does commanding attention on a live stage.
9.5”-RADIUS SATIN MAHOGANY C-SHAPED NECK WITH VINTAGE STYLE FRETS
The classic C-shaped neck with vintage-style frets provides a familiar feel that accommodates various playing styles. Combined with a smooth satin finish that allows for unrestricted hand movement and a 9.5”-radius that balances effortless chord work and bend-friendly lead playing, this neck delivers the perfect balance of comfort and performance.
OPEN-GEAR TUNING MACHINES
Featuring a modern gear ratio and direction, these open-gear tuning machines combine vintage style with modern performance for rock-solid tuning stability.
FISHMAN CD-1 ELECTRONICS
The onboard Fishman CD-1 system is designed to get out of the way and let the guitar speak. Simple, intuitive controls for volume, bass, mid and treble put your tone exactly where you want it, while the integrated on-board tuner keeps you stage-ready at a moment’s notice – all in a sleek, low-profile package that preserves the guitar’s natural acoustic character.
