The Pink Taco V2 1x12” combo is Dave’s latest version of this 20-watt EL84 powered all-tube, single channel fire breather. The Pink Taco V2 can produce many styles of music from blues to classic rock and heavy rock to metal, by just adjusting the gain, master controls and newly added switches. While the Pink Taco V2 was primarily designed as a high gain amp, it will impress you with all the different tones available. For a more classic rock sound from the 60s and 70s, lower the gain and bring up the master and try the new Fat Switch for a thicker tonality. For a more modern sound, set the gain from 7 to 10, or try the new Sat Switch for a more saturated, heavier tone.

A lot of people don’t believe an EL-84 amp can deliver the tight bottom end and midrange that an EL-34 amp can produce. Dave begs to differ! Friedman completely designed the amp to sound like a 100-watt EL-34 monster utilizing custom transformers and designing the amp to have the clearest signal path possible
Plug in and you will instantly notice the tight bottom end and rich harmonically detailed chords and single notes. The Pink Taco II cleans up remarkably well with the guitar’s volume control, even with the amp on higher gain settings.
The Pink Taco II combo features a 16-ohm, 12” Celestion G12M 65 Creamback speaker that delivers the bass, mid response, and signature sound you would expect from a Friedman amp.
The Pink Taco V2 takes pedals very well and loves boosts, OD’s, phasers, flangers, tremolos, wahs, etc. The Pink Taco II features Dave’s custom designed ultra-transparent Series FX loop that takes time-based FX pedals and rack units equally well.
The criticality acclaimed Friedman BE-100 was Dave’s first production amplifier and is one on the most in demand British high gain meets vintage amps on the market today. The original Pink Taco was the little baby sister to the BE-100, created for the many musicians who wanted the Friedman sound in a small, compact, lightweight, simplified design.
