Inspired by the iconic styling of a scaled-down SJ-200™, it delivers unmistakable Gibson acoustic aesthetics in a format that’s exceptionally easy to hold and play. Its smaller dimensions make it an excellent choice for players transitioning from electric guitars, as well as those who prefer a more manageable alternative to larger dreadnought and square-shoulder acoustic models. The Parlor Rosewood EC is now equipped with the Gibson-exclusive, custom-voiced Baggs HiFi DNA™ pickup system, faithfully translating the instrument’s natural tonal character and the subtle dynamics of your performance when amplified.
Built using Gibson’s renowned acoustic construction methods, the Parlor Rosewood EC offers warmth, clarity, and impressive tonal balance. Features such as the compound dovetail neck-to-body joint, radiused top, and traditional scalloped X-bracing help shape its responsive sound. A solid Sitka spruce top finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer is paired with solid rosewood back and sides finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer, accented by multi-ply top and single-ply back binding.
