Featuring an all-solid mahogany body and top, the iconic M-20 produces a well balanced tone with plenty of low end for its body size. The impressive M-20 delivers clarity and definition in a variety of tunings.
The M-20 was the first guitar off the production line in 1967, when Guild had grown so much that they relocated to a new factory in Westerly, RI. Nearly 50 years later, history has repeated itself in a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in California. The M-20 is a concert size acoustic guitar built with solid mahogany top, back, and sides, informally nicknamed “the Nick Drake guitar” for its inclusion on the album art for Drake’s album, Bryter Layter.
The M-20 acoustic guitar features a rosewood bridge and fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, and an extremely light satin finish that allows this guitar to truly sing. The M-20’s modest appointments include a vintage style rosette and Guild’s peak logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the headstock. Each M-20 comes with a hand-signed, numbered certificate of authenticity, and ships with a hardshell case.

Classic vintage mahogany vibe
Playing a Guild M20 takes you back to the beginning of blues and folk. You won’t need to hunt down an 80 or 90 year old guitar. You won’t need a vintage 50s or 60s Guild. A brand new Guild M20, is one of the few acoustic guitars that sounds great right out of the box. I’ve had the opportunity to a/b...

M-20: Modern Vintage perfection
This Guitar is the absolute best guitar you can get in it's size, in my opinion. I have 4 Guild guitars, and TWO of this guitar, in particular. There is nothing quite like it. The all Mahogany body gives it so much more presence than other guitars of it's kind, and you can tell that the Guild team s...

Great Guitar ( for the right guitarist )
Even though I returned mine to American Music Supply, I am inclined to give it a top review. It just wasn’t for me. The tonal quality is considerably bright and crisp, very similar to that of a Taylor. For a mahogany guitar, it was very bright. Too bright for me. Compared to Martin, a Martin Mahogan...

QUALITY SOUND AND AESTHETIC BEAUTY
My first impression of the guitar was a breathtaking "Wow!" From this little guitar comes a deep full earthy sound that bellows from the solid mahogany. The case for the M-20 is also very nice and high quality in its own construction. The GUILD name rings true: "this guitar is meant to be played" an...
