The KB15 puts out 500 watts through a 15" HyDrive speaker, which is more than enough headroom for rehearsals, small-to-medium venues, and most live gigging situations. For very large stages, it also features an XLR direct out to supplement with front-of-house support.
Hartke's HyDrive cone uses a patented paper/aluminum hybrid design that combines the warmth of a paper cone with the tight transient response of aluminum, a combination that standard all-paper speakers can't deliver. The result is a full, balanced bass tone with both depth and clarity.
The KB15 is built for actual gigs. Its 500-watt output, XLR direct output, and rugged cabinet construction make it a capable performer for live settings, while the headphone output makes it equally at home in a bedroom or studio.
The Shape knob activates a unique fixed EQ curve and lets you sweep it across a frequency range of 100Hz to 900Hz. It's designed to quickly add harmonic color and tonal character beyond what a standard EQ can achieve. Think of it as a tone-shaping shortcut.
