Jerry Harvey didn't come up in a lab coat; he came up in the audio trenches.
Born in St. Louis, a city built on music and grit, Jerry grew up with equal parts curiosity, hustle, and a borderline obsession with sound. By his teens, he was running audio at small venues; not long after, he was mixing on the biggest stages on earth for some of the most demanding artists in history.
In the mid-90s, touring acts still relied on wedges, and the few IEMs that existed didn't hold up on real stages with real musicians. As Van Halen's monitor engineer, Jerry was tasked with solving a problem no one else could: finding something that worked for Alex Van Halen. Disillusioned with every available option, he engineered the first two-way custom-fit IEM. Word spread fast. Soon, other engineers were knocking, artists were lining up, and Jerry found himself at the forefront of a new audio revolution.
Jerry's first company, Ultimate Ears, introduced multi-driver in-ear monitors to the world and changed touring forever.
After another decade of refining IEM development on the road with the likes of Aerosmith and Pearl Jam, in 2007, he formed Jerry Harvey Audio. From the classic 'reference JH13 and JH16 IEMs, came the Siren Series, including Roxanne, the first 12-driver IEM with independent adjustable bass and a phase-accurate waveguide system that pushed the entire industry forward.
Jerry wasn't satisfied stopping at customs, either. After years of studying fit, shape, and seal, he built a universal shell that mimicked the comfort of custom moldswhile reducing the size by 40%—the result: universal EMs that finally met professional expectations.
That same drive led to the evolution of his first 'Digital EM', the Pearl system. A tri-amp, micro-speaker management processor delivering ultra-low latency and 96kHz resolution with independent control of lows, mids, and highs. Built for the realities of modern touring, it delivers unprecedented precision in the IEM signal chain for engineers and performers. To complement that level of control and Pearl-powered tuning flexibility, Jerry developed the elite Ruby 2, a powerful 10-driver EM (quad lows, dual mids, quad highs), and the Rosie, a dual-low, dual-mid, dual-high IEM design.
