This revolutionary bridge plate transducer easily sticks to the bridge plate on the inside of the guitar and does not affect the acoustic tone of the guitar in any way. The iBeam is microphonic enough to hear the rich (but correct) texture of finger squeak and top tapping, but is resistant to feedback and gives you excellent amplified sound without a hint of piezo quack. Included with each iBeam is a placement jig that allows you to install the pickup in minutes and get the ideal placement for the transducer inside the guitar. The patent pending iBeam weighs only 1/3rd of an ounce.
LR Baggs endorsers include: Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Dixie Chicks, Lenny Kravitz, Vince Gill, Kathy Mattea, Janis Ian, Phil Keaggy, Pete Anderson.

"With the iBeam, the tone is unbelievable, or more appropriately, totally believable. Transparent, acoustic, balanced very true to the guitar. I've held out putting a pickup in my Goodall...until now!"- Rick Rubin, Dutch's Music
The iBeam itself weighs only 8 grams (1/3rd of an ounce), fits nicely onto the bridge plate of most x-braced guitars and will not alter the unplugged acoustic tone of the guitar. The iBeam also gives you the good qualities of a studio mic without the inherent feedback qualities of many internal mini-mics.
Early reviews on the iBeams are overwhelmingly positive!
The iBeams are shipping! The iBeams are shipping! Some artists and dealers who have already had a chance to install the iBeam have sent in their take on the transducer. Here are a few of their thoughts on the new iBeam.
"I'm used to playing acoustic guitar with a pickup and a microphone. The thing that impressed me most about the iBeam is that it had the best qualities of a microphone and pickup without the negative qualities of either. The feel is spectacular and it responded just like the guitar. It's so unusual to get what you play but it's like sitting in the perfect room playing the perfect guitar." Tom Anderson, guitar maker
"Searching for the zenith in amplified sound has been a lifelong quest. I've installed almost every acoustic pickup that has ever been produced into my own and other folk's guitars. In my experience no pickup has sounded as natural as the LR Baggs iBeam. Lloyd's dedication to quality and innovation along with his genuine passion for the needs of guitar players has led to this marvelous new pickup." John Standefer, guitar player & educator
"…let me tell you about my first iBeam installation. The first thing I noticed was how light the entire unit is. The Tech Writers wrote excellent instructions. The installation is very easy. The jig is well designed, and once the strapjack hole was reamed, it took about 5 min. to install the pickup and another 10 to loom the wire. I'm sure that time will drop after I've done a few more. The tone is unbelievable, or more appropriately, totally believable. Transparent, acoustic, balanced very true to the guitar. I've held out putting a pickup in my Goodall. I finally have found the one that is going in it." Rick Rubin, Dutch's Music, Spokane, WA.
