The LR Baggs Venue DI is what happens when a company stops asking "what does an acoustic preamp need?" and starts asking "what does an acoustic guitarist actually want?"
This pedal delivers studio-grade tone on stages that deserve anything but. With its transformer-coupled DI, precision 5-band EQ, and chromatic tuner all crammed into one road-ready box, the Venue DI handles feedback like a bouncer and shapes tone like a seasoned engineer. It's the all-discrete acoustic preamp pedal that lets you travel light, set up fast, and sound incredible anywhere you plug in.
Designed for Pure Sound
The Venue DI is designed for uncompromising performance. Built with 100% discrete circuitry, high-grade semiconductors, and audiophile-quality film capacitors, it delivers a transparent, ultra-quiet signal that captures every detail of your playing. The transformer-coupled XLR output ensures complete isolation from ground loops, letting you focus on your performance without worrying about unwanted noise.
All-Discrete Signal Path: High-grade components and audiophile film capacitors deliver sweet, transparent tone without the noise or coloration of cheaper circuits.
Transformer-Coupled DI Output: Full isolation kills ground loop hum dead, giving you a clean, professional signal to the PA every single time.
Adjustable Gain Control: Handles both passive and active pickups with a 4-segment clip meter that helps you dial in the perfect level visually — no guesswork required.
EQ Tailored for Acoustic Guitars
Most EQs are generic. The Venue DI's 5-band EQ was specifically tuned for the frequency range and tonal characteristics of acoustic guitars. The tunable low-mid and high-mid bands give you surgical control over problem frequencies, while the proprietary Garret Null notch filter hunts down feedback with laser precision. When your guitar starts to howl, this pedal brings it back to earth without sacrificing your tone.
5-Band EQ with Tunable Mids: Sweep the low-mid (100Hz-500Hz) and high-mid (500Hz-2.5kHz) controls to precisely shape your sound or cut problem frequencies that muddy the mix.
Garret Null Notch Filter: This virtually invisible filter sweeps from 60Hz to 320Hz, eliminating feedback and ringing notes without destroying your overall tone.
Phase Inversion Switch: Flip the polarity to find the phase that sounds best and feeds back least — because your relationship with the monitors changes every time you move.
Stage-Ready Features That Work Like You Do
Playing live means adapting on the fly, and the Venue DI gives you the tools to do it. The variable boost footswitch (adjustable from 0-9dB) lets you jump out front for solos without reaching down to twist knobs. The chromatic tuner with mute function keeps you in tune and silent between songs. And the series effects loop means you can drop in your favorite pedals without sacrificing signal quality.
Adjustable Boost Footswitch (0-9dB): Pre-set your desired boost level on the back panel, then hit the footswitch to push your volume up for solos or dynamic shifts — no mid-song knob turning required.
Chromatic Tuner with Mute: Engage the footswitch to tune silently between songs, with an auto-shutoff after 1 minute to save battery while keeping the mute active.
Series Effects Loop: Insert reverbs, delays, or modulation pedals into the dedicated send/return jacks without compromising your carefully crafted tone.
Your Sound Control Hub
The Venue DI consolidates the features of at least three separate pedals into one bomber-built floorbox with metal-shaft potentiometers that can handle the road. With both XLR and 1/4" outputs, a 4-segment battery status gauge, and power options via 9V battery or DC adapter, this preamp is ready for coffee shop gigs or arena tours. It's assembled in the USA with rigorous quality control testing, and it even includes a gig bag to keep it safe between shows.

This thing is fire! I’ve been playing my Taylor 814ce through my electric guitar pedal board for eq and some power, but could not dial in warmth along with more power, until I got the LR Baggs DI! The acoustic sound comes through pure has the driven snow! Thanks to the preamp, I have plenty of power...
Works very well but the tuner is slow and inconsistent.

I bought this DI to
I bought this DI to boost the signal of my cavaquinho in band with multiple drums, brass, guitar and bass. Worked beautifully, including 5 band EQ, boost switch and onboard tuner. Finally, I can hear myself play, and am audible in house. The bag is handy too. I'm very happy with this item and with t...

Easy, even for us dummies
Used this for the first time in band practice. Got it dialed in quickly, with no feedback issues, and gradually tweaked the tone throughout the jam. It didn’t take long to get it sounding great. Acoustic guitars present a big challenge in live situations with a band. You can feel the vibration leadi...
