The JCM1960A is loaded with four Celestion G12T-75 speakers, which are responsible for the cabinet's warm, harmonically rich tone. Celestion and Marshall have been partners in tone since the very beginning of the 4x12 story.
The 1960A features an angled front baffle, which helps disperse sound more evenly across a room, while the 1960B has a straight front. The two are designed to be stacked together to form the classic Marshall full stack.
The JCM1960A can be switched between 4 Ohms, 16 Ohms (mono), or 8 Ohms per side (stereo). Match the impedance to your amplifier's output setting to get the best performance and avoid any damage.
Absolutely. The JCM1960A works perfectly as a standalone cab and delivers the full Marshall 4x12 experience on its own. Pairing it with a 1960B to build a full stack is optional, not mandatory.
