The Martin D-X2E acoustic electric guitar remastered X Series is made to play. The D-X2E Brazilian 12-string features a satin-finished spruce top with an elegant abalone pattern rosette and eye-catching Brazilian rosewood pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides for added durability and looks, without sacrificing that classic Martin tone. Playability enhancements include a thinner fingerboard with a gently beveled comfort edge and refined string spacing, and a modernized bridge contour for a smooth and comfortable playing experience. It also features a select hardwood neck, fingerboard, and bridge for improved sound and sustain, and Martin E-1 electronics with a built-in chromatic tuner and volume, tone, and phase controls. The D-X2E Brazilian 12-String’s iconic Dreadnought body size is loud and projective with strong bass, lending itself to any genre and experience level, while the extra strings provide a unique layer of chime, tone, and texture. All X Series models come with a softshell case.

Unbelievable!
This guitar is unbelievable with sound! It sounded like I was playing 3 guitars at one time with the volume and that was unplugged. I've had several 12 strings in my past and they don't touch my Martin!!!

It's a nice guitar for the price.
It's a well built guitar, and it holds its tuning well. However, be advised: When mine arrived, it had razor sharp fret edges, on ALL the frets. I spent an hour beveling them properly. A: Martin hard shell cases for the dreadnought body size will fit 6 and 12 string models. We also carry dreadnought cases by Gator that will properly fit this model..
