    Martin GPC-X1E Acoustic Electric Guitar

Meet the Martin GPC-X1E, the acoustic-electric equivalent of a secret agent in a tuxedo. It’s sleek, mysterious, and surprisingly tough when the going gets rough. As part of Martin’s remastered X Series, this guitar proves you don't need to empty your savings account to get that legendary Martin growl. It combines a distinct "blacked-out" aesthetic with serious durability, making it the perfect partner for musicians who need an instrument that looks as good on a wall hook as it sounds on a festival stage.

Martin GPC-X1E Durable Build, Sleek Soul

    Durable Build, Sleek Soul

We all know the terror of taking a vintage wooden instrument from a humid green room to a dry stage. The GPC-X1E laughs in the face of hygrometers. Constructed from High-Pressure Laminate (HPL), this guitar is virtually immune to the temperature tantrums that warp traditional acoustics. It offers peace of mind for the traveling troubadour, ensuring that your tone stays true whether you're playing a beach bonfire or a snowy cabin retreat.

    • HPL Construction: The top, back, and sides are crafted from High-Pressure Laminate, a material renowned for resisting warping, cracking, and humidity changes.
    • Satin Black Finish: It features a striking, non-reflective satin black finish that hides fingerprints and looks effortlessly cool under stage lights.
    • Sustainable Materials: With a birch laminate neck and Richlite fingerboard, this axe is as eco-friendly as it is road ready.

    Hands-On Happiness

Martin didn't just paint it black; they overhauled the feel to ensure your fingers don't fall off after the third set. The "remastered" element of the X Series shines here, focusing on the tactile experience of playing. If you've ever felt like you were wrestling a guitar neck rather than playing it, the GPC-X1E offers a welcome ceasefire. It’s designed to be fast, smooth, and forgiving, letting you focus on your riffs rather than your hand cramps.

    • Beveled Comfort Edge: The fingerboard edges are gently rolled and beveled, eliminating that sharp, "cheese-grater" feel common on budget acoustics.
    • Grand Performance Cutaway: The body shape offers the best of both worlds — big projection with a comfortable waist — plus a cutaway for easy access to those high-flying solos.
    • Refined Spacing: Updated string spacing and a Performing Artist neck profile make forming complex chords or nailing fast runs feel surprisingly natural.

    Martin GPC-X1E Electrify Your Sound

    Electrify Your Sound

An acoustic guitar is only as good as its pickup when the drummer kicks in. The GPC-X1E comes armed with Martin’s E-1 electronics, a system designed to be heard, not seen. It sits discreetly inside the soundhole, giving you control over your tone without cutting a giant barn door into the side of your beautiful instrument. It’s about transparency and ease of use, ensuring the audience hears your music, not your technical difficulties.

    • Martin E-1 Electronics: This onboard preamp system captures the natural resonance of the HPL body, delivering a plugged-in tone that sounds like you, only louder.
    • Stealthy Controls: Volume, tone, and phase controls are tucked inside the soundhole for easy adjustments that don't clutter the guitar's visual lines.
    • Built-in Tuner: The built-in chromatic tuner automatically mutes the output when engaged, saving your audience from the agony of listening to you find high E.

    The Road Warrior’s Choice

The Martin GPC-X1E is more than just a sturdy strumming machine; it’s a reliable workhorse that refuses to compromise on tone. It bridges the gap between a "beater" guitar you toss in the trunk and a high-end heirloom you're afraid to touch. If you want the Martin name on your headstock but need an instrument that can handle the grit and grind of the real world, this is your new best friend.

Martin GPC-X1E The Road Warrior’s Choice

    I love this guitar!

I bought this guitar somewhat hesitant as I have never really had a acoustic/electric, but it being a Martin I said what the heck. And never happier I did. First off it's a Martin and sounds and feels like a Martin. The satin finish is gorgeous and the neck is super comfortable. The tone is bar none...

Awesome guitar. Had to take it to a shop for a set up, action to high to my taste. Other than that, sounds awesome pluged and unplug.
