Grabbed this Atom on a blemish sale a while back to use with Studio One. It’s okay but I should have went with the upgraded Atom. A lot of times it doesn’t sync with Studio One and I have to keep going into the settings in my DAW and it’s annoying.

I use this as a drum pad controller using Superior Drummer and it works pretty good for that. I will say if you use EZ Drummer II I would not buy this because it doesn't work with that but other than that i like it. Q: I’m looking for a pad that I can load up with sound effects and plug into my dj mixer to use during my dj sets. Can this be used for that? I’m playing vinyl so there no computer being used. Or must this pad be plugged into the music app the whole time?

A: The PreSonus ATOM is only a controller and will not have any onboard sounds - it will require a computer to work.
