PRS Limited Edition Archon 2x12 Closed Back Cab: Stage-Filling Power, Tight Low End
One speaker gets you heard. Two speakers make you felt. The PRS Limited Edition Archon 2x12 Closed Back Cab doubles down on everything that makes the Archon line great, pairing dual Celestion V-Type speakers with a closed-back plywood design for punchy, focused tone and a low end that hits hard and stays tight. Palm mutes thud instead of flub, big open chords swell with real width, and lead lines carry all the way to the back of the room. If your rig needs more volume, more fullness, and more presence without losing clarity, this cab delivers.
A 2x12 moves serious air, and you'll hear the difference the moment you plug in. Two speakers working together create a fuller, wider sound that fills a stage, not just your corner of it. You get more volume on tap, more body in your cleans, and more chest-thumping weight in your crunch.
At 25.25" wide, 21.6" tall, and 11" deep, the Archon 2x12 still keeps a reasonable footprint on crowded stages and in studio spaces. At 49.6 lbs, it's a substantial cab, built for players who want real presence and don't mind a few extra pounds on load-in to get it. Rugged, road-ready construction means it shrugs off rehearsals, studio sessions, and long tours, night after night.
PRS chose the Celestion V-Type for its balance, and two of them make that balance even bolder. Your tone stays even from glassy cleans through classic crunch and all the way to modern metal gain. Cleans sparkle, crunch growls, and high gain stays tight and articulate instead of fizzy or flabby. That makes the cab a natural partner for the Archon amp's clean channel and its heavier voices alike.
With 140 watts of power handling and an 8-ohm impedance, this cab pairs with a wide range of amp heads. Just confirm your amp supports an 8-ohm load, then crank it up. Outside, black textured vinyl, British-style knitted weave grille cloth, and the PRS Signature logo give it a clean, powerful look that commands any backline.
The Archon 2x12 Closed Back Cab is what you reach for when one speaker just isn't enough. It's louder, fuller, and wider than its 1x12 sibling, yet just as tight and balanced at every gain setting. Whether you're filling a club, tracking a massive rhythm part, or holding down a festival stage, this cab turns your amp into a wall of tone you can feel. Add it to your cart today and give your rig room to roar.
