Some amps need a cart, a cab, and a crew. This one needs a free hand. The PRS Limited Edition Archon 50 Watt Guitar Combo Amp Black Paisley takes the voice, power, and reliability of the Archon Classic 50 head and puts it in a grab-and-go combo built around a 12" Celestion V-Type speaker. You get pristine cleans that sparkle and edge-of-breakup tones that growl just enough to get your attention. Fifty watts of tube power keeps you heard on stage, and the Black Paisley styling makes sure you're seen. If you want pro-level tone without hauling a head and cab, this combo is your shortcut to sounding great.
The clean channel is the star of the show. It delivers glassy, three-dimensional cleans with full lows, lush highs, and plenty of headroom. Chords stay clear, single notes stay defined, and your playing comes through with crisp articulation. Ample headroom also makes it an ultra-clean pedal platform, so your overdrives, fuzzes, and delays get a blank canvas instead of a tug-of-war.
The lead channel gives you a second voice with its own controls. Set it up for a pushed, gritty tone, then dial in volume and master to control how much hair and how much loudness you get.
The Archon skips the knob jungle in favor of a clear, intuitive layout. Each channel gets its own volume, treble, middle, bass, master volume, and bright switch, so your clean and lead sounds never step on each other's toes.
Under the hood, two JJ 6CA7 power tubes deliver 50 watts of warm, punchy tone. Six JJ ECC83S preamp tubes handle the input, clean, lead, effects loop, and phase inverter duties, giving the amp its rich, responsive feel.
A tube-driven series effects loop keeps your delays and reverbs clean, clear, and right where they belong. Need more air? Five extension speaker jacks with ohm switching (two 4-ohm in parallel, two 8-ohm in parallel, and one 16-ohm) let you connect a wide range of cabinets. Adjustable bias with monitoring jacks makes tube maintenance simpler.
