The Schecter E-1 FR S comes ready to shred right out of the box! It features Schecter's killer E-style mahogany body adorned with a beautiful quilt maple top and multi-ply binding. The neck is constructed from 3-piece mahogany and has been shaped to an ultra-thin profile for high velocity soloing and the neck joint is specially contoured to allow easy access to the upper frets. A 12”-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard is outfitted with 24 extra-jumbo frets that will facilitate effortless string bending. The 25.5" scale neck gives the perfect amount of string tension to accommodate lower tunings. This metal machine takes you to the upper limits of shred!
The E-1 FR S boasts outrageously heavy tone, courtesy of a unique pairing of humbuckers. A Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI sits in the bridge position and delivers a massive biting tone that will cut through in any setting. The Sustainiac Driver/Pickup in the neck position produces beautiful Humbucker tones when the Sustain switch is off and works as the Sustainiac Driver when switched On. The Sustainiac Driver creates an infinite feedback sustain of string vibrations by electromagnetic feedback.
The simplified controls feature master volume and tone controls, 3-way pickup selector toggle switch, and an on/off switch to activate Sustainiac mode. Rounding out the black hardware is a set of Grover tuners and a double-locking Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge that will stabilize tuning and can withstand anything you can dish out.
Most explorer style guitars have neck dive but not here, it plays so smoothly, my wrist don’t cramp up and the Sustainiac is a lot of fun as well. The green is darker in person than in the pictures but overall I absolutely love this guitar
