For players who want versatility and clarity in a high-output pickup, they're a significant upgrade over most passive alternatives.
While it's clearly built for heavy music, the dual-voicing Fishman pickups and resonant basswood body give it enough range to handle hard rock, progressive, and even blues-influenced playing in lower tunings. It just happens to be exceptionally good at the heavy stuff.
A baritone guitar has a longer scale length — typically 27 inches or more — and is designed to be tuned lower than a standard guitar without losing string tension or note definition. The Red Dawn's 27-inch scale gives lower tunings a tighter, more articulate sound that a standard-scale guitar simply can't replicate.
The guitar does not include a case, but Schecter offers the Premium Molded Hardshell Cases as a compatible add-on sold separately. For any player taking this guitar out of the house regularly, it's a worthwhile addition.
