The Forum hasn’t thought of them all! There are opportunities for magnet swaps in popular Strat, Tele and P90 Models with hybrid combinations that have yet to be discovered.
These home-grown designs are now readily available to AMS customers!
The Seymour Duncan Concept
An expertly curated collection of crowd-sourced, iterative new products based on magnet swaps and hybrid-coil designs. These come from existing popular pickup models, to meet home-grown demand from Seymour Duncan users, that is attractive to customers already making these products themselves.
Why Magnets Matter
Consider our Custom Custom (Alnico 2), Custom 5 (Alnico 5) and Duncan Custom (Ceramic) Models, their coils are wound precisely the same, yet all three sound and perform distinctly differently due to their respective magnet types.
Magnet type affects a pickup’s Tone, Output, Feel and Playing Dynamics. Their interchangeability facilitates new pickup ideations across Humbuckers, Strat and Tele Single Coils, P90s, and even Humbucker-sized single coils like Rails and Lil/Jr.s.
