Tama HP900PWN Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Bass Pedal
If bass drum pedals had a Hall of Fame, the Iron Cobra would have its own wing. For over two decades, the HP900PWN Power Glide has been the go-to double bass pedal for drummers who take their footwork seriously. Built around Tama's obsessive dedication to smoothness, stability, and adjustability, this twin kick drum pedal doesn't just keep up with your playing. It pushes it forward.
Stability That Won't Let You Slide
There's nothing more distracting mid-performance than a pedal that wobbles like a shopping cart with a bad wheel. The HP900PWN's Super Stabilizer design fixes that problem before it starts, giving you a rock-solid platform that stays planted no matter how hard you push it.
Super Stabilizer Design: A wider base plate and frame keep the pedal firmly grounded, eliminating unwanted movement and giving you the kind of confidence that lets you focus on the music — not the gear.
3-Piece Hinged Guard Block: The specially engineered hinge point at each pedal's heel isn't just more durable than traditional designs — it also extends the footboard length for improved leverage and more powerful strokes.
Para-Clamp II Pro: Tama's oversized rubber-padded clamp locks the pedal to the bass drum hoop without scratching or slipping, so your drum stays looking as good as it sounds.
Speed and Feel That Match Your Best Playing
A double bass pedal should feel like a natural extension of your body — not a mechanical obstacle between your foot and the music. Tama engineered every moving part of the HP900PWN with speed and feel in mind, and the result is a pedal that responds instantly and accurately every single time.
Power Glide Cam with LiteSprocket: The offset double-chained Power Glide cam accelerates the beater stroke powerfully as it approaches the drum head, while the upgraded LiteSprocket design makes the whole motion feel lighter, smoother, and noticeably more natural under your foot.
Speedo-Ring Rocker Cam: A high-quality built-in ball bearing rocker eliminates spring friction entirely, streamlining the action and contributing to the HP900PWN's distinctly fluid feel.
Cobra Coil Spring Return: The adjustable Cobra Coil constantly pushes the footboard back to its original position, tightening the connection between your foot and the pedal so your fastest passages come out exactly as intended.
Precision Engineering for Maximum Power
Raw speed only matters if it's paired with control. Tama didn't settle for making the HP900PWN fast — they made sure every ounce of that speed translates into strong, focused impact at the drum head, with hardware smart enough to stay out of its own way.
Swivel Spring Tight Tension Locking Mechanism: Designed to rock and swivel rather than stay rigid, this tension locking system allows freer spring movement and a smoother overall feel — one of the most genuinely clever mechanical improvements in the Iron Cobra's long history.
Quick-Hook Spring Attachment: Eliminates spring wobble and maximizes power transmission to the Speedo-Ring, while also making setup noticeably faster. Less time tuning the pedal means more time actually playing.
Power-Strike Cobra Beater: The redesigned beater delivers a fatter, more focused sound at the drum head, optimizing impact for strong, precise strokes that translate well in both live and studio settings.
The Iron Cobra Earns Its Name
The Tama HP900PWN Iron Cobra Power Glide Double Bass Pedal is the result of 20+ years of refinement and real-world feedback from serious drummers.
