    The VS-R265 4K live stream encoder addresses the growing demand for an external stand-alone encoder for 4K live streaming environments. The VS-R265 functions as a YouTube encoder and also provides live video streaming to popular Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) including Wowza, Ustream, AWS Elemental MediaLive and CloudFront, to name a few. The half-rack size VS-R265 functions as a stand-alone unit—no external computer is needed for recording or streaming.

    • Simultaneously records, encodes, streams, and decodes multiple 4K video streams.
    • Functions as an external stand-alone YouTube encoder for HD streaming to YouTube and other popular CDNs, including Wowza, Ustream, AWS Elemental MediaLive and CloudFront, etc.
    • Uses High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), a high efficiency coding scheme that delivers H.264 video quality via 4K content at half the bit rate.

    Tascam Discovery App and Web-GUI allow easy remote management of multiple VS-R unit systems:
    The Mac/Windows "TASCAM DISCOVERY" app allows multiple VS-R units connected to the network to be managed from a simple Web-browser based GUI. All configuration settings are saved within the VS-R devices, so that in normal operation no computer is needed for streaming or recording.

    No AC Adaptor Required for Commercial AV Installations:
    PoE+ functionality eliminates the need for AC adaptors in AV installations. Optional TASCAM AC power supply sold separately where external AC power is required. Power supply also can be done by the optional AC adapter (TASCAM PS-P1220E; sold separately)
