The 312ce Grand Concert acoustic electric guitar is perfect for the fingerstyle player who also enjoys light to moderate strumming. A favorite with players who enjoy the clarity and responsiveness to fast picking runs or a light fingerstyle touch. Taylor’s Grand Concert body features a comfortable, small body which makes for a great fingerstyle guitar that has a smaller sonic foot print, making it easier to mix in live and recording situations. Players will love the slightly shorter 24-7/8-inch scale length of the Grand Concert. The result is a slinkier handfeel that makes it easier to form chords and bend strings, and tonally, surprising power, warmth, and sustain for the smaller body. The venetian cutaway gives the guitar a modern look while allowing access to the higher frets.
The Sapele back and sides produce a strong midrange focus similar to mahogany with a splash of top-end shimmer, while the Sitka spruce top helps deliver even projection and accurate tonal response. Other distinctive features include Gemstone fretboard inlays in Italian acrylic, Gloss finish top with satin finish back and sides, and Taylor’s Expression System 2 pickup.
