The PS54ce starts with Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape, the most versatile body shape in the Taylor lineup.
The PS54ce then adds an iconic, premium tonewood combination, Honduran rosewood for the back and sides and Adirondack Spruce for the top. Honduran Rosewood evokes the tonal response of Brazilian Rosewood, with a deep, lush low end, sparkling top end shimmer, and a full, strident midrange. Add in the Adirondack Spruce top and you get a super high strength to weight ratio wood that allows for greater power and headroom. The PS54ce is a work of modern art, featuring California vine pau shell inlays on the fingerboard, bridge, headstock, and pickguard. Ebony binding with pau shell treatment adorns the top, back, sides, fingerboard, and headstock edges.
