Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Lo-Fi Delay Pedal

The Fundamental Lo-Fi Delay turns familiar echoes into shifting, imperfect textures. Move from bright, wow-and-flutter-soaked chimes to dark, undulating clouds, or build rhythmic, multi-tap echoes with analog-style character. Whether you want subtle movement, hazy ambience, or shifting rhythmic patterns, three sliders and a three-way switch make it easy to find your sound.

For the Fundamental Series, we challenged ourselves to design a set of pedals with the tonal integrity that's required to live on a professional's pedalboard, but with simplified controls friendly enough for even the newest effect pedal users. Each Fundamental pedal has three faders for tweaking the sound and a three-way switch for changing pedal modes. The result is a line of pedals that will keep you covered from your first band practice all the way to a sold-out arena. Designed and assembled at Walrus Audio headquarters in OKC, OK.

Time: Sets the time between delayed repeats. Move the slider left to bring the echoes closer together, or right to add more space between each repeat. Max delay time is one second.
Feedback: Controls the number of delay repeats. Move the slider left for a single echo, or right for long, evolving trails that approach infinite repeats.
Mix: Controls the balance between the delay effect and your original clean signal. All the way to the left outputs a fully clean signal, and all the way to the right outputs only the delay repeats at 100% wet.
Slide Switch – The slide switch allows you to change between three distinct Delay algorithms.
AM: A bright delay with a high-pass filter, light harmonic distortion, and dual wow and flutter modulation on the repeats that melt away into a hazy backdrop full of character and gentle pitch movement. You’ll hear echoes degrade and thin almost like they’re coming through a fading AM radio signal, creating a texture that works well for dreamy leads, open chords, and washy backdrops.
Murk: Dark, dense, and responsive. Murk rolls off the high end and adds heavy distortion with dual low-frequency modulation to push repeats into a thick, undulating cloud. Discover slow modulation that makes the delay compress and expand with the dynamics of your playing, making it ideal for shadowy ambience, brooding melodies, and worn lo-fi textures.
Keep Feedback low to add shadowy movement under your riffs. Push it higher to build repeats into a pulsing cloud that swells and shifts around every note.
ECHO: A rhythmic, multi-tap delay with analog-style tone shaping. At short delay times, the taps gather into dense, lo-fi ambience that sits between an echo and a reverb. At longer delay times, they spread into syncopated, hypnotic patterns that can add movement and cascading trails that weave around your playing, or help you lock into a new groove.
Slide Switch Secondary Control: Control the tap division when tap mode is engaged.

Tap Mode: Enter tap mode by holding the bypass switch until the LED begins flashing. Once the LED is flashing, tap mode is engaged, and the bypass switch will function as a tap tempo switch.
Exit tap mode by holding the bypass switch until the LED stops flashing and returns to solid white. The pedal will remember the tapped tempo until you move the Time slider or tap a new tempo.
Trails Mode: The Lo-Fi Delay comes with trails mode active by default. To turn trails mode off, hold down the bypass switch while applying power to the pedal.
