You shouldn’t have to pay extra for a little peace of mind. Sometimes the gear on the computer screen seems like a better fit than when you actually get your hands on it. We understand, and that’s why AMS offers an industry-leading 45-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not happy with an item, you have a full month and a half to send it back! We don’t want to just sell you gear. We want to sell you the RIGHT gear — even if it takes a few tries.
Built in collaboration with Zakk Wylde himself, the Wylde Audio Ironworks Viking FR pairs a mahogany body and signature IronWorks metal top with EMG active pickups and a Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo. The result is a stage weapon that looks as heavy as it sounds. If you want a tone that cuts through a wall of amps without losing its edge, this Viking was forged for the job.
The EMG 81/85 pairing is the backbone of modern metal tone, and Wylde Audio didn't water it down here. These active humbuckers are voiced for aggression first, nuance second, which is exactly the order most riff-writers want.
A guitar with this much attitude still needs to feel right under your hands, and the Viking FR doesn't cut corners on comfort. The neck profile and fingerboard combo are built for speed and control across the entire range.
Dive bombs, whammy abuse, and nonstop touring will expose a weak setup fast. The Viking FR is equipped to handle the punishment without blinking.
The Wylde Audio IronWorks Viking FR isn't trying to blend in, and it isn't trying to be versatile for versatility's sake. It's built for players who want aggressive tone, stable tuning, and a neck that lets them play fast without thinking twice. If that's the kind of instrument you've been hunting for, the Viking FR earns its name.
